New Stuff

We had been talking about getting an alarm system since we moved in, especially now that I am home with Madeleine. We chose a company and they came out yesterday. It took a while and Madeleine was not too happy when they had to test the alarm but it is installed. It is really cool because we have something like on-star where we can talk to them directly through the panel. I also bought Maddie a huge coloring book. It is bigger than I thought so I have to fold the pictures twice to put them on her board. And she is a little short so she has to stand on her stool to reach the top.

We also went and did the baby registry thing tonight. It was somewhat easier because we knew what we needed this time but a little difficult because I didn't want to register for too little or just stuff!

Busy Busy Busy

So this morning we got up and went to the gym...It was a great workout but my arms are so tired and weak. The baby was very active during the workout so I guess she thought she needed some exercise also. Then Madeleine and I did a little shopping but can't remember what I was going for in the first place. Then we went to the grocery store and with all my coupons I save $19.62...YAY!!! So the morning was very productive! I now have a lot of energy and I am about to go upstairs and clean out the Baby's room and do some more laundry.
I also took my weekly belly picture and I am at the halfway mark. I feel like my belly is funny shaped and I haven't grown as much as I expected to see...but then I was reminded that this child is extremely low and she has filled in my lower abdomin which Maddie didn't do until she dropped. Just rambling...

Off to clean...

Weekend #3

We were waiting to make solid plans this past weekend until we found out if my cousin was going to play Saturday. They are out of the playoffs but they had a great season and he is off to play college ball. We decided to go to Victoria on Saturday. Madeleine played hard! Meme got Maddie some bubbles so we all went outside and played. Everyone blew bubbles and then Maddie needed to go rinse off so she got naked and ran through the sprinkler. She went back and forth between the bubbles and the sprinkler. We had a nice dinner and Madeleine played well into the night. I finally got her down and we were back up at 2:00am and did not go back down until after 4:30am...I ended up sleeping on the floor and Jahno and Maddie took the bed because she screamed when we tried to put her back in her bed. We had a little more family time and then decided to come home because I was exhausted. I might have had 4 hours of sleep that night and had my own little melt down. But all in all it was a nice trip.
Monday we got up and went to Jahno's grandparents for Hotdogs. Jahno's mom bought some land and was showing everyone the pictures. I finished Madeleine's birthday invitations and got them in the mail. Then we came home so Madeleine could take a nap. Then we headed to my parents house for dinner and to visit. It was a very nice weekend. I didn't take any pictures this weekend so I will have to get some from my mom and I will post them later.

Dr. Appt and Stuff

I had my doctor's appointment yesterday and everything looks fine. He of course says my weight looks fine but I have already gained 24 pounds and I think that is way too much! I am eating right and small portions and exercising so the doctor say there is nothing more to do. I felt like I was doing good on my weight until I went to Arkansas, I wasn't able to workout for almost a week and I pigged out...I gained 5lbs just in those 4 days. If I only gain a pound a week, I will be close to my goal, if this baby stays put until my due date. I asked about floating the river because I had some negative feedback when I said I wanted to go. Doc said go have fun...just no alcohol!
Losing the Baba is still going good. Yesterday I tried to put her down at Kimmie's house and she asked for it but that is the first time she has been over there since losing it so I am not surprised. She still wants to sleep in Mommy's bed and even woke up at 6:00 this morning asking to go to mommy's bed. Not gonna happen!
My cousin Lance has a baseball game tonight, if they win they play tomorrow, if they lose then they are out. Depending on how that goes we might be going to Victoria. I should have pictures either way after this weekend!

Losing the Baba...

I got back Monday and decided to let Maddie have one more day with the Baba (pacifier)since her grove was thrown off with me being gone. Tuesday when we got up I told her we were giving the Baba's to the baby's today and that was it. Nap time came and she sorta cried and I thought maybe I should try to comfort her a little so I went upstairs...Bad idea. She wanted to come downstairs. I rocked her and went to put her back in her bed to pat her back but she just wanted to go downstairs. So I left the room and she screamed and screamed and screamed...for close to 45 mins and then was out. Bedtime she went right down without a peep...for only 5 mins. She cried for about 10 and was out. She didn't cry for her Baba she cried for Mommy's Bed! Thanks Kimmie and Nana! Today a nap again she screamed for about 30 mins but not for the Baba...for Mommy's bed. Then tonight we talked and talked and talked about how she had to sleep in Maddie's Bed not Mommy's Bed. I put her in bed and she cried for Mommy's bed for about 15 mins. She has not asked for the Baba at all...this is going a lot easier than I expected.Once she is asleep she is out and she slept the whole night last night which she hasn't done in weeks. Hope this continues!
We are also making pretty good progress with the potty training. She has been going both 1 and 2 in the potty. The problem is she still wakes up wet and sometimes she tells us after she goes but she is learning. Not to mention I have read that it can take up to 8 months to be fully potty trained! We are focusing on the Baba and just taking everything else day by day.

Dinner Disaster

So, I haven't really been trying new recipes just old ones that I know work. Tonight I found a Speedy Enchilada Dish. Very easy, just sauce, diced tomatoes, diced onions, diced cilantro, cheese and shredded CORN tortilla all tossed together. Well, I am not always the biggest fan of CORN tortillas and I was planning on using my flour tortillas for burritos but I had tortillas so I didn't think anything of it. I got everything together, cooked it and it looked and smelled amazing! I dished it out and took a bite and...it was soggy...it needed CORN tortillas not flour. (See why I am CAP-ing CORN) Not only was it soggy there was a sweet taste to it...Cinnamon! Where did cinnamon come from?!?! My Cinnamon Raisin Bagels were on top of my tortillas. Apparently 2 bags cannot contain the cinnamon. So moral of the story, You must use CORN tortillas and don't let your bagels near anything that you don't want to taste like cinnamon! Recipe has great potential and I will use it again...with CORN tortillas!!!
Madeleine and I are getting ready to go to my cousin's baseball game. Maddie is really is getting into the sport...well at least she is excited when we say baseball game and she keeps asking for baseball game!

Weekend #2

I fly up to Arkansas Friday night. I got there around 9:15pm and we went straight to eat at Wendy's. Yummmmy, french fries and frostie!!! On the way home the weather was pretty bad, Blake and Sarah thought they saw a tornado so we stopped for a sec. I checked the weather on my phone and it was just T-storms. We got to Sarah's and visited for a little bit and went to bed. Saturday we did a lot of shopping and wedding projects and had a nice dinner. Sunday we went to church and then that afternoon was Sarah's shower. It was very nice and she got tons of stuff. I ate 12 chocolate covered strawberries (I made myself stop when I counted them) and then tons of artichoke dip...but it was so good and I haven't binged like that this whole pregnancy. Then I came back this morning. It was so nice to get in the car and have Maddie say, "Hi, Mama!" I missed her so much!
Saturday night I was laying on my side and Gianna started kicking hard. Sarah and Marilyn were able to feel her. That was the first time I was able to feel her from the outside and it was nice. Tonight it was hard also but every time I put my hand on my tummy she stops so not sure if you could feel it on the outside tonight. She is so low that it is hard to get up and down. I hope she will scoot up a little bit as she grows but not counting on it. I am a little worried about getting bigger with her so low but I am half way there, which that could be a good and bad thing.
I started planning Madeleine's Birthday Party and I am really excited because she is into to it. She sat with me as we looked at themes and things to do and she told me what she liked and didn't!
