Bad Bad Blogger

I didn't realize it has been this long since I last blogged...Opps, but I do have a good excuse! Before I start some of my keys are sticking so I will try to watch the typos but heads up. Last week was pretty was pretty uneventful. Gianna has been doing much better for the most part and even some what slept through the night. I had surgery on Friday that was a little more painful than I expected. Mom, Dad and Natalie helped out a lot over the weekend and then Jahno's Dad watched the girls Monday and I am soooooo thankful for all of them! We all had a little bit of Cabin Fever so I took the girls shopping today. Gianna wasn't too thrilled at first so I was pretty worried. We left Old Navy and tried to go to Mc Donald's so I could feed Gianna and Maddie could play. Well, that nice, big one they just built on Bay Area doesn't have a play ground so we went to Burger King...their play ground is small and was difficult for Maddie to climb in, it was made for bigger kids but yet was too small for big kids! Either way Madeleine got to kinda play while Gianna ate and then we were off again! I had a coupon for JcPenny so we went to check out clothes for girls and guess what I found?!?! Matching outfits for the Girls!!! Oh yes, after who knows how long I searched for matching outfits and having to settle for dresses that did not fit I found tons of matching outfits, Newborn and 24 month!!!And 2 weeks after Family photos, so we will probably try and take some more pictures...especially since the girls didn't really cooperate last time. We finished our shopping at Target. I was able to get 98% of my Christmas shopping done today and cured my cabin fever. I have 2 doctor's appointments tomorrow and then Jahno and I are having a date night.I will try to blog more. Here are some random pictures.

Nice Weekend

This Weekend Meme and Little Meme and Little Papa came for a short visit. They got to meet Gianna for the first time and she was wide awake most of the day. Madeleine was her charming self, Little Papa was very impressed with how well she communicated and played with everyone. And of course Little Meme loved on Gianna! Mom made a really good Shrimp Soup and peach cobbler (which I didn't eat...you know that crust thing). Then we watched football the rest of the day, had a sonic trip and Hot Wok stop. Maddie, Kimmie and Tsunami went for a couple of walks and apparently Kimmie went down the slide with Maddie, would have loved to get a picture of that. Then Sunday church was great, nice lunch and nice nap and another great church service. It was a great weekend and we are all exhausted. Monday was a lazy day, Madeleine has been playing with Gianna's toys a lot and has started saying she is a baby...until she wants something. :-) We also went outside to play Tuesday which all of us have been enjoying! Nat Nat is coming in this weekend to help out because I am having a minor procedure done but we can't wait to see her...especially Maddie! Oh and Jahno finally went to the doctor and he has fluid in his lungs so he is on some heavy duty stuff. I don't think anything is going on until I start to blog and then I try to get everything in. Gianna's acid reflux has responded nicely to the meds and the colic has somewhat eased up with the new formula. I think that is all for now.

Be Careful Little Eyes...

So I was thinking about the little song that goes, "Be careful little eyes what you see..." And it is soooo true. To start I am not a big fan of Cailou, I think he is a big whinny baby and the show just really gets on my nerves! Well, Madeleine mimics that show often, which is ok when she pretends to be in space or talks about animals or dinosaurs. But a couple days ago Cailou was whinier than ever and he was finding every excuse not to go to sleep and began talking about a scary monster. Madeleine almost immediately started talking about the scary monster and having me check all sorts of places for the scary monster. This went on pretty much all day and both Jahno and I told her she wasn't going to be allowed to watch Cailou anymore if she didn't stop. Well she stopped until it was time to go to bed and was soooo upset about the scary monster! I checked every where but she was still so upset! She did not believe me when I was telling her there was no such thing as a scary monster. The only thing that worked was telling her that the scary monster was already asleep and wouldn't bother her. Since that episode every time it is time to go to sleep the scary monster is an issue! We monitor what she watches and really only let her watch educational shows! Cailou is on PBS and I would say pretty educational but Madeleine will not be watching that show anymore and I guess we will need to watch every show before she does from now on.

This afternoon was beautiful outside so we spent most of the afternoon outside. We tried to blow bubbles but Madeleine spilled them and then the bottle was too bubbly. Then we played with the shopping cart and Madeleine's car and Paisley. Gianna was awake most of the time. Here are some pictures.

My Girls

It has been a little while...I will do try to do better. :-) First there was Halloween, we went to my uncles cook off. We were going to try and do that and go to Trunk or Treat but didn't make it. Natalie and her boyfriend came in for a surprise visit. It was so nice to see them and the rest of my family! I had my appointment with Dr.Klein and everything looks great. Jahno got sick at the beginning of the week, he is feeling better (I think) but now he has a horrible cough! Gianna's acid reflux has seemed to ease up with the medicine and she is now taking the medicine much better. The colic on the other hand was not. She cried one night from about 10:00pm to 4am...and she is now horse. We are hoping that is from crying so much but I am waiting on the Dr. to call me back to verify that. We switched formula last night and she slept from 1am to 5:30am, ate and slept again until 8:30am. YAY!!! We are hoping that is not just a fluke. Madeleine got bit on her toe by a mosquito and it is all swollen and she is walking funny and fussy. So we all cuddled and watched Finding Nemo once again. We put some medicine on it and she is finally up playing. Meme and Little Meme and Little Papa are coming Saturday for a short visit and we can't wait to see them!
