I know I know

I have not been blogging enough. I will think, "Yes, I have something to blog about!" And then get home and have a million things come up. Anyways. I am going to start a book of funny things Madeleine says. Today I put her and Gianna in the same dress. Madeleine told me Gianna was not aloud to wear her bloomers because Gianna was a baby and she still wears diapers! Madeleine also tells me everyday that she is my best friend but I am not her best friend, Chloe, Calan and Dylan are her best friends! I told her that her and Kimmie were going to have a slumber party this weekend and she said, "Yay, I can invite Chloe, Calan and Dylan and Katie!" I had to explain that one it was just Her, Gianna and Kimmie and Grand Dad and two that girls and boys don't have sleep overs together. And lastly in school her teachers call her their little teacher...I think it is because she is a little bossy!...but this week they are studying the letter G and Madeleine tells her teachers everyday something else that begins with G...Gianna, Grand Dad and Gum! I fibbed, one more...infomercial for NOT letting technology teach your children...Madeleine was playing with one of her toys and singing along with it. She put the toy down but continued to sing, "A,B,C,D, PRESS A BUTTON, E, F G, H, PRESS A BUTTON..." We were laughing so hard! She is too smart for her own good!

Gianna is a speed crawler, pulling up and cruising and I have even caught her let go and stand by herself! She is only 7 months old and I thought I would have more time. Also she unlike Madeleine puts everything, I mean everything in her mouth! We have fished out; Paper, tissues, price tags, pizza (from Maddie), cat toys, and Tsunami's bone and raw hide, Just to name a few. Her ear drum healed up but she had another ear infection in the other ear. We are on the strongest antibiotic they can give her so hopefully this will knock all of them out. We will find out next week.

Madeleine's Birthday Party is June 5th (June Five if you ask Madeleine) so we are trying to get everything together. Everyone should be getting their invitations today or tomorrow...I made them, addressed them and then procrastinated on getting the stamps...opps! They were leaving San Marcos Monday.

Here is Madeleine Singing her favorite song, Soul Sister by Train.

The results

I thought I had blogged but apparently not...I have been losing my mind lately! I went Thursday for my post-op appointment and got the results. It is NOT lymphoma which is amazing news! I have hyperplasia which basically means my lymph nodes are extremely over reactive. Apparently the symptoms I was having were actually from some type of cold or virus and my lymphs had over reacted and continued to over react and did not know how to calm down. They said that is highly unlikely to happen again but I do need to monitor things monthly especially since I am at higher risk of cancer. The post-op infection is getting better and she thinks that is was caused by an allergic reaction to the adhesive in the steri stripe. so we are very happy to find that out!

We go back this week to check on Gianna's ears and Madeleine is actually running fever and complaining about tummy and back pains which sounds like another UTI or the same one. One day, ONE DAY we will all be well! :-)

Music Time

I thought this past month was Keyboard but apparently it was guitar. She is so smart! She has started spelling things on her computer. I love listening to her read books to me. I am pretty emotional and sappy right now but I am so proud to be a mother of 2 amazing girls!

Day 5 and stuff

Turns out I got a Post-op infection. I am on antibiotics and have my follow up appointment on Thursday.

With everything going on I sorta forgot about Mother's Day. Jada wanted strawberry bushes so that is what she got. The Natalie told me that my Dad was getting Mom a glider and that my Mom wanted this decorative pot. That put a creative bug in my ear. I decided to buy a pot and have Madeleine and Gianna decorate it and then plant Sweet Peas in it with Kimmie so every time Kimmie see the sweet peas she will think of her "sweet peas". With the surgery didn't get to decorate the pot. So we gave it to Kimmie and now the girls and Kimmie are going to decorate the pot together and plant the sweet peas.

I am trying to beef up my charm bracelet so I haven been dropping hints here and there. Jada got me the Mother and Baby Dolphin charm. And Jahno is doing a IOU charm but not sure when that is coming. :-)

Also for Madeleine's Birthday we are starting her a James Avery Charm Bracelet. So if you need birthday ideas there you go. She is great on toys but she could always use clothes also and she is in 2T's and size 7 shoes. Her party is going to be June 5th but ya'll will be getting invitations soon!

One more final and I am done for a couple weeks and then Summer School! But these will be fun classes so I am excited!!!

I think I have rambled enough for now. :-) And here are more pictures.

Day 4

Today was a little rough. I had to study all day for my last finals. After a couple of hours I felt like I had been ran over by a train. I don't think I have been taking it as easy as I should have. I am heading to bed to watch Big Bang Theory and then sleep. Can't want for the results and to finish this semester.

Day 2

I am still in quite a bit of pain. But I got to spend time with Family so that helped out a lot. Excited about Mother's Day tomorrow and spending time with family again. I accidently pulled the steri-strip off but the nurse said it should be ok. Also I want to thank Natjamama for washing, drying and straightening my hair for me since I am still not suppose to get my neck wet.

Surgery

Surgery went pretty well. The morphine wore off so I am in quite a bit of pain. Vicodin just isn't the same. They said it would take 5 to 7 days to get the results. We will see how tonight and tomorrow goes. Luckily right now it does not look to bad, it is slightly bruised but the stri-strip is hiding the stitches. Thank you for everyone's prayers.

Mommy News

I started reading Curious George at the Aquarium and I noticed Madeleine was reading with me. I stopped reading and she finished the book word for word. I amazes me how much she remembers and knows.

Gianna's ear drum ruptured which isn't good but she is on medicine for it. I would have thought she really felt yucky but she has actually been kinda hyper. Last night Madeleine was playing with her computer and Gianna was trying to pull up on her. Maddie told her, "No, no Gianna! Not right now!" Gianna grinned at her and laughed! I packed up Gianna and told her leave Maddie alone right now and she grinned and laughed at me. This went on a couple more times. Madeleine was so patient with her but I think it is so funny that Gianna is already agitating her big sister.

Update and the ARK

I called the doctor this morning because I had not heard anything back. The nurse would not tell me the results which really made me nervous. The doctor finally called me back and told me that the radiologist did not like my CAT scan. One on my lumps is 1.5 (mm, cm, dm...I can't remember) and they want them to be well under that. The needle biopsy came back fine but when she found out that he had just felt around and had me point to them so didn't like that. So since the results were inconsistent/inconclusive she wants to operate. I am going to have them removed this Friday and then we should know for sure.

The past weekend I went to Port Aransas with the Animal Husbandry Association. We stayed at Mustang Island State Park which is right on the beach. My phone was lost or stolen pretty much as soon as we got there so that was not so much fun but the rest of the weekend was amazing! Friday we went to the beach, played in the water and then made hot dogs and smores right on the beach. Saturday we got up and headed to the ARK for a tour and to volunteer. After the tour we split up in 3 groups. Some went to clean and feed the birds...not me because I HATE birds! Then some cleaned off the stuff that was collected for auction and then the rest of us cleaned the water filtration system. This consisted on removing the Bioballs, draining the water/algae/turtle poop, scrubing the tubs, washing the Bioballs and putting them back in. It was gross but we got right in there and had fun doing it! After that we had a lunch break and then some of us clean the turtle hospital floor and the rest of us when and cleaned 3 of the outside turtle pools. Again we drained the water and scrubbed the algae and turtle poop and even got to scrub one of the turtles, Barbie who had algae growing on her. After the ARK we went back to the beach and later went around town. We had a blast and hope to go back next semester!
