Nanny Update
Well, this process hasn't not gone as well as I planned. The one that we really like rescheduled and then was a no show. We decided against the 2nd choice because of too many complications. I interviewed 3 more tonight, liked the first one until I meet the second one and then the third one was overwhelming. Jahno got home during the 3rd interview and he was overwhelmed also. We did another pro/cons list and it is really looking like Goddard is the better choice now. I think we were both optimistic that we were going to find Mary Poppins but we seem to be attracting the Miss Hannigan. It isn't that bad but I can't think of any mediocre nannies. Not to mention the ones we think might be just ok, think very highly of their services. I am just venting now. After being stood up, lied to, and "emergencies" coming up, I makes both of us nervous about relying on just one person. What would we do if I had a test and they just didn't show up? At Goddard that would never happen. Not to mention we are so impressed with their curriculum and their teachers we were just concerned about where it was and other kids. We have 3 more interviews on Saturday and that is it. We will make one more pro/con list and make our decision after that but the nanny idea seems to be fading fast.

Gianna's turn

Madeleine "The Baby"
So Madeleine loves Gianna to death, she always wants to touch her our be around her, so I don't think it is a jealousy thing. Madeleine sits in the carseat, the swing, the bouncer and the jungle floor mat. When she get in there I usually tell her she is the big girl and she is too big. Madeleine's reply is, "I the Baby, Gianna's the big girl." Well, Gianna constantly wants to be standing up so I decided to get the excersaucer out of storage and see if Gianna is big or strong enough to use it. I cleaned it and sterilized it and left it in the kitchen to dry. Madeleine has already been trying herself today, she refused to nap, she wouldn't stay in bed (which is new)and she has been extremely argumentative. We went in the kitchen to get a snack and she saw the excersaucer. I told her it was for Gianna and she needed to leave it alone. We came back to the living room and a little later I hear Madeleine in the kitchen...Guess what I found.

It's Christmas Time
We finished decorating the tree and the girls love it! Jahno taught Madeleine how to drive the train and I find Madeleine sneaking ornaments off the tree. Gianna of course loves the lights. We are also continuing out Christmas Music Marathon. I love the holidays. We are making tons of cookies on Friday and then going to the Cookie Project with the Fishers from Church.
Other news I am going back to school in the Spring. I am going to A&M Galveston and I am beyond excited!!! We were looking at either putting the girls in Goddard School or hiring a nanny. After weighing the pros and cons we decided to go with a nanny. We had interviews all day Saturday and Sunday and we have 2 in mind. One is coming back on Tuesday for a "second interview", we want to see how both her and the girls interact. So not only am a excited about the Holidays but I am stoked about going to A&M.

Lots of Updates
We had a nice Thanksgiving. It started off at Jahno's grandparent's and the shin dig only started 45 mins late. :-) I was pacing myself food wise but it was all so good, especially the turkey and my potatoe casserole...I need to make that more often! Then we headed to my Papa's and Madeleine crashed half way there but not Gianna. We got to Papa's and Madeleine stayed asleep for quite a while, well until Nat Nat couldn't stand it anymore and woke her up. Gianna was wide awake and only took little catnaps. The food was great and it was really nice hanging out with everyone! Friday we headed to Victoria for another Thanksgiving. Madeleine and Emory played all day and I only had to get onto Maddie a couple of times. And of course it is always great to have 5 generations together! The Boy (Jason) also surprised everyone and came into town. We got our tree put up and almost completely decorated, just waiting for Jahno to put up his Train and the star...as soon as that is finished I will post pictures.
We took Gianna in for her 2 month check up. She is 23 in long which is the 56%, 10 lbs 6 oz which is in the 21%, and her head is 14 3/4 in which is in the 7%. Dr. Q was impressed at how alert and strong she was. He wished she weighed a little more but didn't want me to increase her formula. We took her off the xantac but she will continue on the Similac Sensitive Lactose Free and is now able to sleep on a flat mattress. She is sleeping through the night which is great! It amazes me how different her and Madeleine are but they are both great girls. Oh and Gianna doesn't always take a pacifier but she has now found her thumb. Yes, it is cute but I worry about the long term!
The Girls ran back and forth!

Hugs for everyone

Emory was not happy about Gianna being there and of course Maddie had to be right there for the action.

Bad Bad Blogger
I didn't realize it has been this long since I last blogged...Opps, but I do have a good excuse! Before I start some of my keys are sticking so I will try to watch the typos but heads up. Last week was pretty was pretty uneventful. Gianna has been doing much better for the most part and even some what slept through the night. I had surgery on Friday that was a little more painful than I expected. Mom, Dad and Natalie helped out a lot over the weekend and then Jahno's Dad watched the girls Monday and I am soooooo thankful for all of them! We all had a little bit of Cabin Fever so I took the girls shopping today. Gianna wasn't too thrilled at first so I was pretty worried. We left Old Navy and tried to go to Mc Donald's so I could feed Gianna and Maddie could play. Well, that nice, big one they just built on Bay Area doesn't have a play ground so we went to Burger King...their play ground is small and was difficult for Maddie to climb in, it was made for bigger kids but yet was too small for big kids! Either way Madeleine got to kinda play while Gianna ate and then we were off again! I had a coupon for JcPenny so we went to check out clothes for girls and guess what I found?!?! Matching outfits for the Girls!!! Oh yes, after who knows how long I searched for matching outfits and having to settle for dresses that did not fit I found tons of matching outfits, Newborn and 24 month!!!And 2 weeks after Family photos, so we will probably try and take some more pictures...especially since the girls didn't really cooperate last time. We finished our shopping at Target. I was able to get 98% of my Christmas shopping done today and cured my cabin fever. I have 2 doctor's appointments tomorrow and then Jahno and I are having a date night.I will try to blog more. Here are some random pictures.

Nice Weekend
This Weekend Meme and Little Meme and Little Papa came for a short visit. They got to meet Gianna for the first time and she was wide awake most of the day. Madeleine was her charming self, Little Papa was very impressed with how well she communicated and played with everyone. And of course Little Meme loved on Gianna! Mom made a really good Shrimp Soup and peach cobbler (which I didn't eat...you know that crust thing). Then we watched football the rest of the day, had a sonic trip and Hot Wok stop. Maddie, Kimmie and Tsunami went for a couple of walks and apparently Kimmie went down the slide with Maddie, would have loved to get a picture of that. Then Sunday church was great, nice lunch and nice nap and another great church service. It was a great weekend and we are all exhausted. Monday was a lazy day, Madeleine has been playing with Gianna's toys a lot and has started saying she is a baby...until she wants something. :-) We also went outside to play Tuesday which all of us have been enjoying! Nat Nat is coming in this weekend to help out because I am having a minor procedure done but we can't wait to see her...especially Maddie! Oh and Jahno finally went to the doctor and he has fluid in his lungs so he is on some heavy duty stuff. I don't think anything is going on until I start to blog and then I try to get everything in. Gianna's acid reflux has responded nicely to the meds and the colic has somewhat eased up with the new formula. I think that is all for now.
