She hears me...

Yesterday we had the June Birthday Party for Mom's Club. It was sooo hot but the kids had fun. There was a huge blow up water slide and a little pool. Maddie couldn't climb up the slide but I would put her as high as I could reach and she would slide down and the jump at the bottom. She was able to climb the ladder on their tree house and slide like a big girl! Then we had to go to the Eye Doctor because I have a bacterial infection in both eyes along with some sort of abrasion (he told me but I forgot) due to my contacts. Apparently the reason I have had such a hard time wearing my contacts during this pregnancy is because my body is rejecting the plastic. They see it often in pregnant women. Then home for a nap.

During nap time Madeleine was talking, singing, screaming...just refusing to go to sleep. Well, I heard her counting to 3 and telling her bear, "That's enough! Go to sleep!" Oh, so she does hear me she just ignores me. Then this morning Madeleine had Paisley (her stuffed dog) and sat her on the dishwasher. I told her she was too big to sit on the door but Paisley could as long as she didn't get wet. Madeleine started hanging on the top shelf so I told her to look at my nose so she would listen. She closed her eyes and ignored me. She lost her grip and fell into the island. She started to cry and I told her that is why we have to listen to Mommy. She picked up Paisley and said "Paisley, you have to listen!" I told her Paisley was listening, Maddie wasn't. So once again she hears me, she just chooses not to listen. It is embarrassing though when Maddie says this stuff in public because we talk to her before we get on to her but she just barks the orders. Oh well!

While I was finishing the dishes Maddie came into the living room. When I walked in I see her on the couch, with Paisley beside her, reading to Paisley! So cute!

Gianna's Room

Jahno started putting Gianna's furniture together when I was in Arkansas back in May. Then in the beginning of June we put the rest of it together and I started painting. The chair that is in there is not staying...it is so comfy but it is low to the ground and does not rock. Ordered another chair and it should be in within the next week or so. I really wanted a fluffy rocker but they are just too expensive and there is quite a bit of stuff we still have to get for Gianna. Still plan on adding art and decor but here is the room so far.
Looking in from the door.

And looking from the chair.

Oh Wednesday

So, I am feeling a little better cold wise but it is so hot and I have no energy. We apparently have a bad coil (AC) so it has to be replaced...the part is covered but the labor is not. And the labor is not cheap! So we are calling around on that one but will have to get it fixed soon so that is frusterating...especially since this was the third time we had someone come out and if the first 2 would have done their job then we would not have had to pay anything. One more reason I will never buy a new house.

Madeleine has hit the...well...the two's. It is "NO" for everything, she is talking back and will look right at you as she does something she is not suppose to do. Last night we were getting on to her for spitting, yes spitting, and I told her she needed to listen to Mommy and stop spitting! She looked at me, waved her finger and said, "Stop it Mommy!" Oh, this is going to be fun! But on the cute side, Madeleine will get her stethoscope and put it on my belly and ask about the baby, So I say dada dada dada.

Also hit 24 weeks so here is a belly shot.

Weekend to Arkansas

Several Blogs posted today...

We left Thursday for Arkansas and the drive was long but went very well. Madeleine did great! We got to the hotel about 12:00am. Madeleine woke up when we got there and was up until about 3am...that wasn't fun! Oh and then back up at 8:00am. We got up had a nice breakfast, went swimming and then got ready for the day. We took Madeleine to go play but decided to go to Build A Bear because she was looking tired. She picked out a cute Dog, stuffed it, bathed it, picked out the clothes and dresses it. She did so well even with a stroller calling her name. She named the dog Paisley. After that we went to lunch with the Frazier's and then back to the hotel for a nap. I got about a 30 min one before I had to get ready for the rehersal. We got all ready and headed out. The rehersal went great and Madeleine did great also. After the rehersal we sat around waiting for the reservations for the Catfish Hole. Funny side note...Mr. Gary, the preacher and Sarah's Dad was finalizing some of the stuff with the bridal party and made a comment about the bubbles and our meals. Sarah's mom just heard bubbles and asked, "Who is bubbles?" Not missing a beat Gary said Bubble's is the stripper!" We all busted out laughing, never would have expected that out of his mouth. We get to the Catfish Hole and start with pickles, cold slaw and hush puppies. I only had about a dozen hush puppies (literally) before our food came. I chose catfish and it was amazing!!! I was stuffed!!! Oh and then Blake's Mom (mother of the groom) made these cheese cakes for dessert and they were to die for. I do not eat crust but this crust was like sugar butter...soooo good. After that we went out for the Surprise Ligerie Shower for Sarah and then a drink. It was nice. We got up Saturday, all got our hair done, went to Taco Bell and headed to the Chapel and Maddie went back for a nap. We took lots of pictures in the hot sun and all sweated like crazy! I can't wait to see the pictures though. Then came the wedding. Madeleine was so cute and did so well! The ceremony of light and humorus...especially at the end when Mr. Gary told Sarah and Blake "Now go forth and multiply!" LOL!!! Then the food was good and as we did at my wedding, Me, Sarah, Natalie, My dad and Sarah's dad did our lovely dance! Mom took pictures and a video this time. I will have to get it from her to post, also I apparently did not take to many pictures so I will have to steal those also. Sunday we got up and headed out. The drive took a little longer than expected...we stopped at Mc Donalds only to find out that every camp in the area was going there...like 100 kids. Then we had to stop a couple of times. We finally got home and it was nice to be back. I have a bit of a cold and feel bad but we had a nice weekend and now can start relaxing for this baby. The wedding was great, the weekend was great and My little Sarah is married!!!!
The only appropriate picture...and yes she put the panties on her head.

Dr. Appointment

I went for my check up and because Dr. Klein was on vacation I saw Amy. We covered a lot of stuff that has been going on. To start with I have been concerned because I don't feel the baby move so much, that is because the placenta is in front and it is absorbing all the movement. So that is why I am feeling kicks in weird spots and when I do feel a kick it must be pretty hard! She is extremely low so we are watching that also because I am having so issues. Everything else looks ok according to them. I have gained 31 pounds total which I am not happy about but I am exercising and eat right so nothing more I can do. I cannot imagine how huge I would be if I was eating and not exercising like I did with Madeleine. Anyways. I go back in 4 weeks for the glucose testing and then go every 2 weeks after that.

Madeleine goes bowling

Wednesday Jahno called and told me that his niece and nephew were going to spend the night and Jada wanted to take all the kids to the museum, I was a little stressed because I had planned on packing for our trip Thursday. Then Jada had a meeting so I ended up watching all the kids for the afternoon...now I was really stressed but Maddie and her cousins hardly ever get to see each other so that was sorta calming. The museum closes at 6 and it was 4:45 before Jada got to our house so that fell through. We called Jump N Jugle to get information and told them we would be there in just a little bit. We got there and they close at 2, so the owner gave us free tickets for next time for the misunderstanding. We decided to take the kids to Main Event. Not sure if any of them had ever bowled before but they did great. Madeleine was scared at first but got into it after a while. She was so cute. Jahno was losing the whole time until someone said Maddie was winning and then he stepped up his game. Not that Maddie would have known but we gave him a hard time about not letting Maddie win. After that we went to Black Eyed Pea because kids eat free. It was really nice! I was able to get everything packed by 11:30 so all is good!

Dress Diaster

Sarah had ordered our Bridesmaid Dresses last year. I found out I was pregnant in Feb. but we thought it would be no big deal because she chose a dress that had flowie, stretchy material in the front. She sent our dresses and I tried it on last week to make sure I still did not need alterations. Uh....the dress would not zip! It was not the stretchy flowie dress we thought it was and I was needing about 6 inches of material to zip it! I freaked out! I went to David's Bridal the next day and they were going to have to order the dress because I went from a size 8 to size 16. If I did rush it should be here in time. The dress came in and fits for the most part. So all is good now. What happened was Sarah was trying to chose between 2 dresses the stretchy flowie one and the one she chose. The reason she did not go with the stretchy one was because it had a sash type thing off one shoulder and she said it looked like a bat wing. So when we talked we both got the 2 dresses mixed up. Either way all is good now with the dress situation. Now just getting everything together for the rest of the trip....
