Kemah

Madeleine and I went to Kemah with group of lovely people, including Madeleine's Best Friend Chloe. We started of feeding the Sting Rays and then had lunch. We tried to ride some rides but either the kids were too short or they did not want to ride them. We all really wanted to ride the train but it had broken down. We then let the kids play in the water pad and then took the to McDonalds for ice cream and a little more play time. It was a very nice day!

Girls Girls Girls

At the end of June we got to spend some time with all of my mom's side of the family. Bitter sweet time, Little Papa passed away but we know he was looking down at all of the family in his house and just smiling! There are pretty much nothing but girls in the family other than The Boy (Jason) and Uncle Steven. 13 girls in their apartment. Little Meme played softball and snowball fights with the great granddaughters in the living room. Delaney just ate up Gianna and carried her all over the place. Madeleine had a blast with her cousins. She would wake up and ask for her cousins...it was really cute. It was nice spending time with all the family and the service was really nice also. Hopefully we can all get back together soon.

The Girls Check Ups

To start with our favorite doctor moved to New York which had me pretty devastated but I decided I would settle for the other doctor that we really liked. Well, I got a call the day before their appointment that the 2nd choice was going on permanent maternity leave and we couldn't be seen for another month! I was beyond upset!!! So I called our old pediatrician who we like but were told our new one was better. Ha Anyways they got us in immediately! So we are back!

Madeleine was in a mood so that made the day fun! It was pouring down rain as we left so I was dripping wet but the girls were nice and dry. Gianna did great until they tried to make her lay down. Madeleine on the other hand fought the whole time and was the one who had to get shots. I will probably never take both girls at the same time.

Gianna
16.2 lbs
26 in
Her height to weight ratio was in the 10th percentile
I don't remember her head but it is up the 50 percentile...YAY!
So she is still my little petite baby!

33 in

Palm Beach

We took the girls to Palm Beach on Sunday and Karen and her girls came also. We had a blast. Madeleine and I went down the slides several times but the lines got pretty long. All of us went over to the Splash Pad and Madeleine ran around like she owned the place the place! And then we stayed at the big pool the rest of the time! Madeleine and Lily were seeing how far they could go and splashing and jumping! We all have season passes so we can't wait to go back! Probably more during the week so it is less crowded. Gianna is attempting to drink out of a sippy cup but gets upset really fast so I tried squeezing the juice in her mouth which worked but it looked like I was feeding a little hamster. Here are some pictures.

Girlie Girls

Today Madeleine had Chloe's Tutu Party and it was great! They had a photographer come in and do a photo shoot for all the girls and are going to send us the CD with all of the photos. Madeleine of course at first did not want anything to do with it. Then one of the mom's there did wonders into "tricking" Maddie into smiling and playing. Chloe's mom and Olivia's mom were like "pageant mom's" but they got all the girls to take really good pictures. Oh and little side note, it was soooo great to see that other mom's bribe their kids, now I don't feel nearly as bad! Anyways then the girls had their nails and make up and hair dyed pink. Luckily Madeleine only wanted her nails done. I had just as much fun with the moms as the girls had with each other. Can't wait to get together again! If both girls are in a good mood, we are planning on taking the girls to Palm Beach tomorrow. Pictures soon.

Madeleine's Birthday Party

I cannot believe Miss Madeleine is 3! It has gone by so fast!!!Yesterday was her Party. We had it at Kimmie's because we have sticker burs in the backyard that we can't seem to get rid of! The party did not exactly go as planned but it still was nice and the kids had fun so that is all that matters! The kids played in the pool on a slip-n-slide and with this beach ball sprinkler. Then we had hotdogs and attempted to decorate cookies but most of the kids just ate them. She got a lot of clothes which she needed and several toys that she loves!!! And she is officially allowed to have gum, Kimmie has secretly given it to her before! We are so happy and thankful for everyone who came and for everyone who wished her a Happy Birthday! Here are a few pictures.

I know I know

I have not been blogging enough. I will think, "Yes, I have something to blog about!" And then get home and have a million things come up. Anyways. I am going to start a book of funny things Madeleine says. Today I put her and Gianna in the same dress. Madeleine told me Gianna was not aloud to wear her bloomers because Gianna was a baby and she still wears diapers! Madeleine also tells me everyday that she is my best friend but I am not her best friend, Chloe, Calan and Dylan are her best friends! I told her that her and Kimmie were going to have a slumber party this weekend and she said, "Yay, I can invite Chloe, Calan and Dylan and Katie!" I had to explain that one it was just Her, Gianna and Kimmie and Grand Dad and two that girls and boys don't have sleep overs together. And lastly in school her teachers call her their little teacher...I think it is because she is a little bossy!...but this week they are studying the letter G and Madeleine tells her teachers everyday something else that begins with G...Gianna, Grand Dad and Gum! I fibbed, one more...infomercial for NOT letting technology teach your children...Madeleine was playing with one of her toys and singing along with it. She put the toy down but continued to sing, "A,B,C,D, PRESS A BUTTON, E, F G, H, PRESS A BUTTON..." We were laughing so hard! She is too smart for her own good!

Gianna is a speed crawler, pulling up and cruising and I have even caught her let go and stand by herself! She is only 7 months old and I thought I would have more time. Also she unlike Madeleine puts everything, I mean everything in her mouth! We have fished out; Paper, tissues, price tags, pizza (from Maddie), cat toys, and Tsunami's bone and raw hide, Just to name a few. Her ear drum healed up but she had another ear infection in the other ear. We are on the strongest antibiotic they can give her so hopefully this will knock all of them out. We will find out next week.

Madeleine's Birthday Party is June 5th (June Five if you ask Madeleine) so we are trying to get everything together. Everyone should be getting their invitations today or tomorrow...I made them, addressed them and then procrastinated on getting the stamps...opps! They were leaving San Marcos Monday.

Here is Madeleine Singing her favorite song, Soul Sister by Train.
